Tandon Doss (17) should be on the Final Roster.

Some players are locks to make the team like Ray Lewis and Joe Flacco while others must continue to impress the coaching staff and prove why they belong.

Here’s a few players that are on the bubble. Will it burst after this Thursday?

Curtis Painter -Quarterback : The former Colt has looked good enough for some to suggest a few weeks ago that he may be pushing Tyrod Taylor for the backup spot. Taylor’s recent success in the Jacksonville blowout has reestablished Painter as the three, that is if the Ravens decide to keep three signal callers. Keeping Painter means that they carry one less Special Team player and those needs seem greater than keeping Painter.

Anthony Allen, Bobby Rainey, Damien Berry -Running Back : It was thought by most (including myself) that Rainey wouldn’t make the team because his style was too similar to Ray Rice. However, all Rainey does is make big plays when he’s in the game so as of now he’s got to be the favorite to win the #3 spot. Berry has also shown improvement but in order to make the final cut he’ll have to make his mark on Special Teams. Meanwhile Allen has slowly disappeared from view and didn’t get a single carry against Jacksonville. We saw this week what happens to players who don’t get time during a pre-season game?

Justin Boren, Ramon Harewood, Tony Wragge – Offensive Line : With rookies Osemele and Gradkowski establishing themselves into the line rotation they seem assured spots. Jah Reid has been bothered by calf issues but unless they are more complicated than expected he should be fine. That leaves one spot among these three. Boren has some versaitility as a Center/Guard. Harewood has the physical stats but always seems injured. I like Boren here.

Logan Paine, Tommy Streeter, Deonte Thompson – Wide Receiver : I think both Tandon Doss and LaQuan Williams are locks at #4 and #5. Thompson has shown a big-play ability and speed that could always develop with more time. Streeter is simply too raw to keep in 2012 on the main roster but I’d love to see him stick on the Practice squad.

DeAngelo Tyson, Bryan Hall - Defensive End : Both are angling to make the roster but the emergence of Ma’ake Kemoeatu is the real story on the D-Line. He’s looked impressive and has even pushed incumbent Terrence Cody for starter minutes. As for Tyson and Hall tonight will be crucial. I could see both in uniform or both looking for work after the final whistle sounds.

Sergio Kindle, Nigel Carr, Chavis Williams - Linebacker: Carr, a rookie out of Alabama State has had a strong preseason leading the team with 12 tackles. He’s also been hurt be penalties, with the most memorable nullifying an Asa Jackson punt return for a touchdown. He’s shown a knack for the football and a great athleticism. Time is running out on former Second-round pick Sergio Kindle. He’s continued to battle health issues and being able to perform on the field. He missed the last pre-season game due to injury. Now in his third-season do the Ravens finally cut bait?

Omar Brown - Safety: Brown is another name that been called frequently during the exhibition season as he’s recorded 4 turnovers. Once a long shot, he now appears closer to securing a spot with Emmanuel Cook out with a broken leg and Considine struggling with concussions. If Considine can’t play Week One, expect Brown to get a spot.
