Elle Fanning, Dakota Fanning are cousins of Kate Middleton: report

She's as much real princess as she is a reel one.
Elle Fanning, who plays Princess Aurora in upcoming movie "Maleficent," has noble blood that links her to Kate Middleton, researchers at Ancestry.com reported.
Tracing the roots back to seven centuries, the researchers concluded that the 16-year-old actress and her sister, Dakota, 20, are descendants of King Edward III. The sisters are connected to the monarch who ruled England from 1327 to 1377 through their mother.
If Edward is indeed the Fannings' 22nd great-grandfather, that would make them genuine princesses.
The Georgia-born pair also share a common ancestor with Middleton — King Edward I, also known as "Longshanks."
The blood tie to that monarch — who is Edward III's grandfather and the regent who inspired the Scottish revolt chronicled in 1995 film "Braveheart" — makes the Fannings distant cousins of the Dutchess of Cambridge.
The Ancestry.com team discovered the connection after sifting through nearly 700 years of census records, birth and death certificates, and burial records.
